Macau is
situated on the
Southeast coast of China, bordering Guangdong Province, just 60km from

East Asia Airlines and
Heli Express Limited co-operates aircraft
between the helipads on the Macau and Hong Kong Ferry terminals. Each
flight takes only approximately 16 minutes. Macau to Hong Kong service
operates from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and the Hong Kong to Macau
service operates from 9:30 a.m. to 10:59 p.m.
The helicopter service
between Macau Ferry Terminal and Shenzhen
Baoan International Airport, PRC is also provided. The journey takes
about 15 minutes at day and approximately 25 minutes
at night . Macau to Shenzhen service operates at 9:45 a.m., 1:15 p.m.,
2:45 p.m., 4:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. and the Shenzhen to Macau service

Aircrafts
Tourists can use the Macau International Airport for travelling to
several destinations in the region on direct flights or catch

airport is located on Taipa Island and is 15 minutes away from the
Macau Ferry Terminal, 20 minutes from the Barrier Gate and only 10

Transportation Service
All major hotels provide pick-up service which can be booked in advance
or arranged on arrival.
Taxis are air-conditioned
and inexpensive, they are freely available
at the taxi station outside the Airport. There will be a surcharge of
five patacas and each piece of luggage carried in the trunk will cost
three patacas.
The Airport bus (AP1) is
also available outside the terminal.

Sea
Hong Kong has many
facilities for Macau-bound travelers. The main sea terminal and
heliport are located in Shun Tak Center,
on the waterfront West of Central District on Hong Kong Island. It is
above Sheung Wan MTR station (Mass Transit Railway) and next to a
terminus for buses and minibuses from many parts of Hong Kong,
including the A2 Airbus from the airport. The terminal has passenger
wharves and helipad, booking offices for current and advance sailings
and flights, reservation offices of Macau hotels and travel agents, a
branch of China Travel Service, and a Macau Government Tourist Office
Information Counter.

The China Ferry Terminal
is located on the
Tsimshatsui waterfront alongside Harbour City, on the Kowloon side of
the harbour. It is used for Catamaran sailings to and from Macau, and
is convenient for visitors staying in Tsimshatsui hotels. There are
booking offices for current and advance sailings.
The Macau Ferry Terminal
and heliport is situated
in the Outer Harbour, close to the New Yaohan Department Store. It
contains booking offices for sailings and flights to Hong Kong, travel
agencies, restaurants and duty-free shops selling alcohol and
cigarettes which are cheaper than in Hong Kong, as well as local
cookies and other delicacies.
Passengers are advised to
be at the terminal at least 30 minutes
before the scheduled departure time, in order to complete immigration
formalities.
To and from
Hong Kong
Tourists can find quite a

Standby
In the Shun Tak Center and Macau Ferry Terminal, there are
special lines for standby passengers who want to leave earlier than
their ticketed sailings. Except for holidays and weekends, there is a
good chance of getting a seat.

Cross Boundary Passenger Ferry
Terminal
The "Cross Boundary Passenger Ferry Terminal" project provides
deluxe passenger ferry service linking Hong Kong International Airport
(HKIA) and Pearl River Delta region. A new brand "TurboJET Sea Express"
runs the new service routes between HKIA, Shenzhen and Macau SAR.
Passengers can transit
into or out of the Pearl River Delta region
via HKIA without the need to go through HK Customs and Immigration
formalities and also without the hassle of carrying their luggage to
the ferry terminal. The trip to Macau Route is approximately 45

for children. Passengers departing from She Kou (Shenzhen) can travel

are two gateways available, the Barrier Gate and the COTAI Frontier
Post. The Barrier Gate operates from 7:00 AM to midnight. The COTAI
Frontier Post at the Taipa-Coloane Reclaimed Area operates from 9:00 AM

air-conditioned bus service between Macau and major cities
in Guangdong
Province during 7:15 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Buses depart from the bus stop

All
visitors must hold a passport or a valid travel document. Please note
that the validity of these documents must not be less than 30 days
since the day you enter Macau.
If travel arrangements are
made through an agent, the visa processing is handled by Macau tour
operators.
A.Visas are required by

valid Macau entry/depart documents,

B.Visas can be obtained
from the Immigration
Services through Embassies/Consulates of the PRC and should be used
within the validity, the visa is expired after the valid date.
C.Visas are also available
on arrival in Macau at the Immigration Services for a period of 30
days.
There are three types:
Individual - MOP$100, for
individual
traveller for a single stay of up to 30 days in Macau, children under
12 years of age pay MOP$50.
Family - MOP$200 for
couples, husband traveling
with wife and or children (under 12 years of age) of same surname or on
proof of their relationship.
Group - MOP$50 per person
for bonafide groups of 10 or more and children aged 12 or under.

Customs
On arrival
Visitors are usually
subject only to routine inspections. The
importation of firearms without special permission is not allowed as
well as other illegal and dangerous items. Drug trafficking is punished
by law!
Other items are not
restricted nor subject to the importation
duties, providing they are carried in reasonable quantities and
contents.
There are no export duties
in Macau: antiques, gold, jewelry, radios and cameras among other items
are duty free articles.
However, Hong Kong SAR
customs authorities will allow visitors, aged
18 or above, one litre of alcoholic liquor and 60 cigarettes or 15
cigars or 75 grammes of other manufactured tobacco into the Hong Kong
SAR duty free. Visitors holding Hong Kong Identity Cards must have
spent 24 hours or longer outside Hong Kong in order to be qualified for
the above duty-free concessions.
