these
Self Energy Converting Sunglasses designed by Hyun-Joong Kim
and colleague Kwang-Seok Jeong and you will not only protect your eyes
from harsh sun rays but you can also convert the solar energy into
electricity. The sunglasses come with cheap organic dye and
nanotechnology which
help convert solar energy into electrical energy. This
electricity in turn could be used to charge your
iPods, phones and other tiny gadgets.

Hong Kong - A
solar-powered lamp, which is as thin as a magazine cover
and sticks onto most surfaces has been developed by a Hong Kong
inventor, a media report said.
The lamp has electroluminescent
material on one side and solar panels and sensors on the other.
The
lamp can be stuck to a window where the solar panels absorb sunlight to
charge the lamp which can then be taken down and placed in a room to
provide light at night.
The
lamp is very thin and light it could reduce
complicated manufacturing procedures and save on raw materials.
"I
believe not only the product itself has to be ecological, but the
manufacturing process should be ecological too, in order to make our
environment better," she added.

The
title of this exhibition,
['refju:s] plays on the word refuse or waste, which, when the F is
crossed out, can be read as reUse.
Preventing
or reducing
waste through sustainable product design is the main goal; but waste
created despite these efforts can be made very useful, as about 150
examples from at least 17 countries make clear in this survey.
